I had the honor to speak to and receive a 2026 Proclamation for Parkinson’s Disease Awareness, Palm Beach, Florida in memory of my mother, Sharon.

We LOVE this community. I am deeply grateful to each and every one of you for the past six years—for helping ensure my mother is never forgotten because of Parkinson’s disease. She lives on through all of us, and together we will keep fighting until Parkinson’s no longer affects anyone—today, tomorrow, and in the future.

I will stand by your side day and night. You can always count me in.

The Parkinson’s Policy Forum 2026- Our Florida visits with Senators & Representatives

From March 15 through March 18, 2026, advocates from across the country came together to raise our voices, share our stories, and advocate for action on Parkinson’s disease. As a representative of TogetherForSharon®, in memory of my mother, Sharon, I had the honor of speaking on behalf of Florida’s Parkinson’s community.

Florida showed up strong. We made our voices heard in meetings with several representatives, including Rep. Byron Donalds, Senator Rick Scott, Representative Anna Paulina Luna, Rep. Jared Moskowitz, Senator Ashley Moody, and Representative Gus Bilirakis. In each office, we shared not only policy priorities but also personal stories—my mother’s journey, her fight with Parkinson’s, and why I continue this mission in her memory.

After my mother Sharon passed due to Parkinson’s Disease a piece of my heart was forever broken. As I began advocating for others battling her memory, I noticed several important topics I felt there was a lack of awareness for. I accomplished those and my final difficulty was and still is explaining what happened to my mother to our children. I embarked on this Children’s book from my daughter’s journey to help children cope and understand that it is okay to discuss feelings and loss as well as symptoms they saw in their grandmother but to also never forget the memories we shared together.
