A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s Gala on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

I can’t be in this fight toward a Parkinson’s cure in memory of my mother Sharon, alone. Grateful to have so much support from you and my wife, Grether.

No one is ever alone, and we both will not rest until no one has to battle this disease as my mom and our family has. And no one should ever feel as alone as I did as a caregiver or my mother had during her battle.

If we reach one person a day…. We never forget my mother and someone I hope out there in the world will see this and realize we are a family in this fight toward a cure. Thank you for listening, caring and remembering.

I had the honor of speaking with someone who has been a hero and a true inspiration to me. Although my heart is still broken from losing my mother, Sharon, to Parkinson’s disease, this community has given me strength, and I was grateful to share her journey once again with Mr. Michael J. Fox. I know she will never be forgotten. Even though she lost her battle, we continue to fight—for you, for Mr. Fox, and for families around the world—until the day a cure is found.

We see you, we hear you, we love you and you are never alone. I will advocate along your side and together I feel our voices are so much stronger!

Coming in 2026! Children’s book on our children’s journey with their Grandma Sharon’s battle with PD….

After my mother Sharon passed due to Parkinson’s Disease a piece of my heart was forever broken. As I began advocating for others battling her memory, I noticed several important topics I felt there was a lack of awareness for. I accomplished those and my final difficulty was and still is explaining what happened to my mother to our children. I embarked on this Children’s book from my daughter’s journey to help children cope and understand that it is okay to discuss feelings and loss as well as symptoms they saw in their grandmother but to also never forget the memories we shared together.

Studies show that 2.5 hours of weekly exercise along with medication, can significantly improve quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s.
