Your Path Is Your Own — But You Can Improve the Journey

Everyone’s Parkinson’s journey is different. No two paths look the same, and there’s no single way to navigate it. But while we may not control the path we’re on, we can influence how we move forward.

Living Parkinson’s is a practical guide to doing just that — taking a more active, intentional approach and focusing on what you can control day to day. Instead of just reacting to symptoms, it emphasizes making informed choices, helping you take ownership of your journey in a way that works for you.

At the core of the book is a framework built around seven key strategies: attitude, education, support, exercise, wellness, advocacy and research participation. Together, these elements provide a comprehensive way to think about living with Parkinson’s. The framework is not a rigid formula or a one-size-fits-all plan, but a flexible guide that can be shaped to fit each person’s unique path, based on their abilities, goals and stage of disease.

Living Parkinson’s isn’t about quick fixes or simple answers. Instead, it’s designed to be highly actionable, offering practical ideas and real-world examples that help people move from understanding to implementation. Whether someone is newly diagnosed or further along in their journey, the goal is to provide clarity, structure and a greater sense of control.

Ultimately, the goal is to help people build a plan that fits their path — and improve the journey in a way that’s meaningful to them.
