Biography 

I was raised in a little town. Syracuse, Utah. I joined the Air Force in my early 20’s; I was never much of a member. I worked in security as I earned my accounting degree. which I have never used.

 

Can you tell me more about your Advocacy?

I honestly still am still trying to figure that out. I am hoping through comedy I can raise Parkinson’s awareness. My original intent was just to tell jokes and my desire to be an advocate has grown as I have meet people in the Parkinson’s community.

 

What is your passion and how did you get involved in Parkinson’s awareness and hope for a cure?

Stand-up comedy. I’ve only had a small taste of it, and I want more.

 

What type of goals do individuals with Parkinson’s have when seeing your Advocacy?

I want people to understand it more than being a little shaky.

 

What type of training and how long are the programs?

None. I take my drugs and exercise.

 

What effect can your Advocacy have on an individual with Parkinson’s?

I can make them laugh. Having Parkinson’s myself I can joke about things from a more experienced perspective.

 

What would you like to see as a future goal for your  Advocacy?

I would love to go on a comedy tour.

 

How does this also assist the caregivers?

Everyone likes to laugh, at least most everyone.

How can others also become advocates for awareness?

Listen to people with Parkinson’s.

 

In your opinion, what is the key to effective advocacy? 

Finding something you are passionate about. You will have more energy to invest.

 

What other activities do you undertake to help improve and support your daily living Eg exercise and alternative remedies?

I walk to improve my walk and do pushups to improve my arm sway.

 

Have you had any family members or relatives affected by Parkinson’s disease?

No.

If you had one final statement or quote you could leave for the Parkinson’s community, what would it be?

Find your passion and pursue it.
