Fox 29 WFLX & Palm Beach County Commissioner Maria Sachs Join us in this Fight!

Gratitude for Our Community Partners in Parkinson’s Disease Awareness

I want to sincerely thank Fox 29 WFLX for airing our story and helping shine a spotlight on Parkinson’s disease awareness. Media coverage like this plays an essential role in educating the public, amplifying patient voices, and ensuring that the realities of Parkinson’s disease are not overlooked. Every opportunity to share this message helps us bring greater visibility to the millions of individuals and families impacted by this disease worldwide.

As part of our Spark the Night initiative with PD Avengers, we are especially grateful to Palm Beach County Commissioner Maria Sachs for her continued time, support, and unwavering dedication to this cause. Commissioner Sachs has gone above and beyond in her commitment to our advocacy efforts and has become a true partner in this mission.

From standing with us publicly, to supporting annual proclamations, to helping illuminate the Historic Palm Beach Courthouse blue for World Parkinson’s Day, Commissioner Sachs has consistently demonstrated what meaningful leadership and community partnership look like. Her willingness to use her platform to elevate Parkinson’s awareness sends a powerful message that this disease matters—and that those living with Parkinson’s and their families deserve to be seen, heard, and supported.

For me personally, her support means more than words can fully express. As someone who lost my mother to Parkinson’s disease, advocacy is deeply personal. This fight began from grief, but it has grown into purpose. Knowing that leaders like Commissioner Sachs are standing beside our community reinforces that none of us are fighting alone.

Parkinson’s disease is the fastest-growing neurological disorder in the world, and the numbers continue to rise at an alarming rate. That is why awareness alone is not enough. We must continue pushing for increased research funding, stronger policy initiatives, better patient support systems, and broader public understanding of this devastating disease.

Together—with advocates, elected officials, media partners, organizations like PD Avengers, and communities united—we are building momentum toward real change.

We are not simply raising awareness.
We are fighting for action.
We are fighting for research.
We are fighting for families.
And ultimately, we are fighting for a cure.

To Fox 29 WFLX, Commissioner Maria Sachs, PD Avengers, and every individual who continues to stand with us—thank you for being part of this mission.

Together, we are stronger.
Together, we are louder.
Together, we will keep fighting until there is a cure.
