My Take, Season 3 of Apple TV’s Shrinking. “F Parkinson’s”, Legends at work!

Wow… just wow. I was almost left in tears after watching the first episode of Season 3 of Apple TV’s Shrinking.

Starring Harrison Ford as a longtime therapist battling Parkinson’s disease, alongside Jason Segel as a single father navigating life after the devastating loss of his wife, the show captures grief in a way that feels deeply human. Like so many of us, his character struggles to move forward while carrying unimaginable loss.

While Shrinking is labeled a comedy, it is so much more. It is a powerful blend of humor, serious drama, emotional intelligence, and raw honesty.

This season also features Michael J. Fox, and without giving anything away, his presence is profoundly meaningful. Battling Parkinson’s in real life as well as on screen, he brings warmth, humor, and exceptional talent—as he always does. Seeing him return to the television sitcom space was nothing short of inspiring.

This show is more than any Parkinson’s advocate could have imagined. By raising awareness through these heroic and legendary actors, Shrinking goes beyond words in what it accomplishes for the Parkinson’s community. Its global reach brings much-needed understanding to the realities of living with Parkinson’s—the journeys, the struggles, and the resilience of those affected.

I thank the creators, actors, and fans for allowing this show to become a household favorite and for opening the world’s eyes to how critical the need for a cure truly is for so many around the globe.

Thank you Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence, and Brett Goldstein. From a son who lost his mother and best friend, Sharon, to everyone whose life has been touched by Parkinson’s disease—together, our voices are so much stronger.

I am a fan, and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
