FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TogetherForSharon® & Power Over Parkinson’s Launches “Parkinson’s Policy Podcast” with Release of Episode One

Washington, DC — TogetherForSharon® proudly announces the launch of the Parkinson’s Policy Podcast, a new advocacy-driven show dedicated to raising awareness and advancing meaningful public policy for the Parkinson’s community. Episode One is now live.

Parkinson’s Policy Podcast is where advocacy and action meet. A Focus on Washington, DC—at the U.S. Capitol and beyond—the podcast brings together U.S. Senators, Representatives, researchers, and leading advocates to amplify the voices of people living with Parkinson’s disease and those who support them.

Dr. George Ackerman, Sharon’s son and founder of TogetherForSharon®, said Ackerman. “This podcast was created to ensure that the Parkinson’s community is heard where policy decisions are made. Advocacy is strongest when we do it together.”

Dr. Ackerman is joined by co-host Margaret Preston, President of Power Over Parkinson’s, whose leadership and advocacy have helped shape national conversations around Parkinson’s care, research, and support.

“Policy impacts every aspect of life with Parkinson’s,” said Preston. “This podcast creates a vital platform to educate, advocate, and push for real change.”

The Parkinson’s Policy Podcast aims to inform listeners, elevate lived experiences, and inspire collective advocacy to drive progress in research funding, access to care, and quality of life for people impacted by Parkinson’s disease.
